My Hubby and Me
Hi, my name is Jes and this is my husband Doug. This picture was taken on the evening of our very first date back on February 7, 2009. We met on a Christian online dating service and a month later had our first date...which lasted about 7 hours. We spent the entire day together, went to a tea house, visited a museum and then ate out at an amazing and fun local restaurant. A little over a month later (March 27th) we were engaged, and on June 6, 2009 we got married. Some say it was a whirlwind romance, we just say it was love at first sight.

This is our son J. He is the most amazing little dude, and we love him so much! He is the adorable, mischievous, bundle of energy and joy that the Lord gifted us with. You see, I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and sometimes those with this syndrome are never able to have biological children. However, after two long years, we found out we were pregnant and my husband will vouch for me when I say that I was elated and jumped for joy! We pray everyday that God will bestow on us wisdom, grace and discernment as we raise this little fella.

What I believe
I believe in God, the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God who created this expansive universe- whirling galaxies, beautiful planets and who breathed the stars into being (Psalm 33:6) and bestowed upon them their heavenly names (Psalm 147:4).
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son. Who lived on earth for 33 years, lived to serve others and pointed them to His Heavenly Daddy. Jesus Christ, who's love has no bounds and gave himself as a ransom for all people. Jesus Christ, who now sits at the right hand of His Father God in Heaven and is presently interceding on behalf of those He's vindicated through His shed blood.
I believe in the Holy Spirit (our Comforter). Who moves like the wind and indwells in our very being. The Holy Spirit that is alive and active today...ushering in the manifest presence of God into our worship, and who helps produce Fruit of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Faithfulness, Goodness and Self-Control) and who comforts us when we are in the depths of sadness and turmoil.
